Best Cake Pan EVER!!! March 16, 2010 Hanoo (Virginia, USA) I bought this cake pan for my son's first birthday which was a few days ago, and I have to admit I was a bit terrified of making it and decorating it. I also bought Wilton 53 Piece Supreme Cake Decorating Set to help me with the decorating.
First off the pan comes with instructions on how to prepare the pan before putting in the batter. I always used to just spray in some pam and bake the cake. IT ALWAYS STUCK! I followed the instructions and the cake came out of the pan SOOO easily, no cracks, no little pieces of cake stuck to the pan... it was PERFECT.
The decorating kit was amazing too...I will definitely be purchasing Wilton products for any and all of my baking needs, and I recommend everyone else to do the same.. :)
good quality pan February 19, 2010 S. Michaud (BENICIA, CA, US) Wilton pans are my favorite for quality and a large variety of shapes. I have many of them, and really like them.
Test your recipe! August 31, 2009 Elizabeth (Philadelphia, PA) 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
I had to try three different recipes before I found one that would work for this cake pan. Perhaps Wilton assumes that all of us are pedestrian enough that we only use cakes made from a box, blech, and are incapable of mixing our own dry ingredients, because it appears that the only people who had luck with this made their cakes from a box. The Ina Garten birthday cake recipe in [...]works the best of the ones that I tried, but there are still a few issues with the cake getting too brown on the outside but not cooked enough on the inside. The cake rises a little bit over the top, but I've made it twice to practice and it hasn't spilled over. The other recipes didn't rise and were totally underdone in the middle while completely brown and crunchy on the edges. Bottom line, if you take any pride in your baking and actually make the cakes from scratch, do a practice run!!

This cake pan bakes a very nice cake! and its so easy to decorate even so such an armature as I am :) It comes with a book of recipes and a few tips on how to decorate this cake. Pan looks nice and will be used for a few more first birthday parties in our family :)
